Easy Application Guide for Your Air Release Vinyl Decal

Applying your air release vinyl decal is simple and hassle-free! Follow these easy steps to ensure a smooth, bubble-free installation:

Step 1: Clean the Surface

  • Important: Before applying your decal, ensure the surface is clean and smooth to guarantee the best adhesion.
  • How to Clean:
    1. Wash the area where you'll apply the decal with a mild soap and water solution to remove dirt and grime.
    2. Wipe away any dust, oils, or residues with a clean microfiber cloth.
    3. For extra cleanliness, use a rubbing alcohol solution (like isopropyl alcohol) to wipe down the surface, making sure it's completely free of any oils or contaminants.
    4. Let the surface dry completely before proceeding.

Step 2: Prepare the Decal

  • Carefully peel the decal off its backing paper. Be mindful not to touch the adhesive side too much to avoid leaving fingerprints.
  • If your decal includes an application transfer tape (the clear top layer), ensure it’s securely attached to the decal before you begin.

Step 3: Position the Decal

  • Lightly place the decal on the desired surface without pressing it down yet.
  • Adjust the decal’s position as needed to make sure it's aligned and centered.
  • Take your time to ensure the placement is exactly where you want it.

Step 4: Apply the Decal

  • Once the decal is in the correct position, start applying pressure from the center outwards.
  • Use a flat tool, like a squeegee or a credit card, to gently press out any air bubbles.
  • Work from the center toward the edges to ensure the decal is smoothly applied with no bubbles or wrinkles.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Make sure the surface you're applying the decal to is clean, smooth, and flat (ideal for metal, glass, plastic, etc.).
  • Avoid applying the decal in extremely hot or cold temperatures—best to apply between 50°F and 90°F (10°C to 32°C).
  • If applying a larger decal, consider having someone assist with positioning while you apply it.

  • Use CMYK color format to avoid color shifts; we will convert RGB files to CMYK if needed.
